**Cased .416 Rigby Bolt Action Magazine Rifle with Telescopic Sight. Serial no. 6656. .416 Rigby. 23-inch barrel with a file cut quarter rib with gold marked express sights with standing sight marked 100 and folding leaf marked 200. Front spear sight on ramped base with protector. Barrel marked: J. Rigby & Co. London, England in gold Old English script. Blued Mauser action marked: Rigby's Special .416 Bore for Big Game. Action with casehardened side two piece mounts. Casehardened bolt base with side safety. Safe in gold. Front and rear of barrel, action,front sling mount, triggerguard and floorplate engraved with bold floral design. Rigby Cal..416 in gold on floorplate. Triggerguard with magazine release with serial number in gold. Engraved casehardened grip cap with trap and gold initials on lid. Checkered pistolgrip stock of well figured walnut. Engraved recoil bolt. Silver's style recoil pad. Sling eyes. Zeiss Diavari-C 1.5.x.4.4-18 telescopic sight with case hardened mounts numbered to the gun. Duplex cross hairs. Green canvas covered full length trunk case with green baize interior. Leather case corners. Maker's leather label, charge card and cleaning instructions on inside of lid. Accessories include brass container for cleaning fluid, leather pouch with bore brush and jag, nickel plated funnel, turn screw, brass cleaning rod, leather sling.Condition: Excellent to Fine, showing some use. Barrel and action show 96-98% bluing with a small area of thinning ahead of fore-end. Bolt shows some bluing losses from use. Floorplate shows 40% bluing from carrying. Stock shows a small shrinkage crack on the right side. Two small scrapes and an nick at fore-end tip. Balance of stock with a few light marks. Rear action screw slot shows some marring. Scope in excellent condition. Case in fine condition with some wear to edges. Interior shows some impressions and a small area of loss.
