    Aydt System Schuetzen Falling Block Rifle by Gber. Praunsmandtz.

    Serial no. 8. 8mm. 31 ¾ inch fluted heavy octagonal barrel with ramped post front sight with protective wings. Matted rib marked: GEBR. PRAUNSMANDTZ JNGOLSTADT. Casehardened Aydt System falling block action. Action engraved with a marksman shooting and drinking with floral designs. Double set triggers. Post mounted adjustable aperature sight with 2-inch sun shield. Finely checkered pistolgrip stock of highly finished walnut with leather covered cheekpiece and a thumb rest. Case-hardened shoulder rest. Sling swivels. Wedge fastened fore-end with a carved dog's head motif and floral designs.

    Condition: Fine. Barrel showing 96-98% bluing. Bright bore showing some light corrosion is some areas. Action a gray patina with case colors in protected areas. Leather cheekpiece cover is perished (but rarely encountered). Wood with light wear and some nicks, scratches and dings. Thumb-piece shows some losses. Rear sight with some spotting.
