    **Cased 45-70 Ruger/Lyman Centennial 1878 Edition II Rifle and Telescopic Sight Set. Serial no. L-78 0465. 45-70 Govt. 28-inch heavy barrel with scope blocks for full length telescopic sight. No open sights. Ruger No. 1 blued action photo engraved with fine foliate scroll and Lyman detailed medallions. Finely checkered pistolgrip stock of semi-figured walnut. Maker's recoil pad and steel grip cap. Finely checkered schnable fore-end. Sling eyes. Blued 34-inch ¾ inch diameter period telescopic sight with external adjustments. End caps. Cross hairs. Walnut trunk case with green felt interior with maker's label. Accessories include: cleaning rod, box of cartridge cases, commemorative coin and Lyman Centennial Journal. Missing loading tool and some coins.
    Condition: Excellent, barrel shows 98% bluing with a few marks. Action shows a ½ inch light scratch. Excellent bore. Stock shows a 1-inch repaired scratch and a few light marks. Telescopic sight: Fine. Shows 96-98% bluing with scratches and losses at the rear mount. Clear optics. Case in Very Good condition. Lid shows a number of nicks and scratches. Frame is opening on back corners. Interior portions show some breaks and looseness. Interior shows impressions.
