    ROMAN-ISLAMIC PERIOD. Circa 1st-8th centuries CE. Lot of six glass vessels. A selection of glassware in a variety of sizes measuring from 2.25 inches (5 cm) to 7 inches (17 cm) Includes, from left of photo: (1) Levantine-Islamic patterned mold-blown one-handled green glass bottle, 6th-8th centuries AD; (2) small Byzantine toiletry flask, circa 4-7th centuries AD; (3) Roman glass chalice, circa 3rd-4th centuries AD; (4) Roman unguentarium, circa 3rd-4th centuries AD; (5) Byzantine-Islamic period brown round toiletry flask, circa 5th-8th centuries AD; (6) Roman or Byzantine blue glass stopper, 3rd -4th centuries AD. A pleasing assortment in varying shapes and colors, some displaying iridescence; one piece (brown flask) broken at top, the the mold-blown bottle expertly recomposed from fragments.
