    U.S. Colt Single Action Army Revolver Inspected by Henry Nettleton.
    Serial no. 47555, .45 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with single line Hartford address. Blued and case-hardened finish. Left side of frame with three-line, three-date patents and marked: US. Barrel near cylinder pin is marked: HN/P. HN also found on cylinder, frame, triggerguard and grips. Cylinder also marked 7555. Smooth walnut grips with cartouches. Left panel marked: 1878/ JEG. Right panel with: HN. Manufactured 1878.

    Condition: Fine. Retaining approximately 20-30% original military blue,the balance a smooth and thin gray-brown patina. Frame and hammer with generous traces of case-colors. Grips are also fine with scattered dents. Bore is bright and strong. Action crisp. A truly impressive example of a Nettleton-inspected Colt.
