    Amongst the Rarest of all Colt Revolvers.

    U.S. Colt Model 1847 Walker Replacement "Fluck" Dragoon Percussion Revolver.
    Serial no. 2506 [barrel, frame, triggerguard and butt], 460 [wedge] and 2641 [cylinder], .44 caliber, 7 1/2-inch octagonal to round barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked: ADDRESS SAML. COLT NEW-YORK CITY. COLT'S / PATENT / U.S. stamped to left side of frame. Cylinder etched MODEL U.S.M.R. / COLT'S PATENT. P inspector mark to left side of barrel and cylinder. Brass gripstraps. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1848.
    Note: According to Flayderman, there were only 300 of these Dragoons produced to replace Walker's that had failed in one way or another.

    Condition: Good. Finish is primarily a dark grey patina with noticeable areas of handling wear, age and pitting. Cylinder scene lettering is weak. Heavy scuffs, dings and bruising present to wood, with some loss at corners. Action functions. Strong bore with pitting in the grooves. The Michael Ward Collection of Western Americana
