    Magnificent Cased Pair of Exhibition Grade Percussion Pistols with Relief Carved Ebony Stocks.
    Approximately .52 caliber with 9-inch fluted barrels. Blued finish. Fluted barrels marked [LGE] on left side near stock, of Belgian manufacture [Liege]. Fitted with fixed sights. All metal surfaces including the locks have a deep floral and leaf engraving with stippled background coverage in a highly attractive coin finish. The ebony stocks feature near full coverage of a high relief scroll and floral carving with grip cap area being adorned with deep fluted work. The elaborate curled trigger guards with finger rest spurs are highly detailed and continue the pattern through the guns with their floral accents and coin appearance. Blued triggers. Highly decorated screws throughout. Contained in original deluxe rosewood case with brass bands/edges and brass inlaid oval around center lid with presentation panel. Interior in the French-style with fitted compartments and purple velour-lining. Complete set of accessories include; ebony stocked turn screw and wrench, brass mallet, two ebony round parts boxes with clamshell design, cleaning rod with jag, ebony ramrod, original bullet mold with sprue cutter, powder measure, extra nipples in screwdriver compartment, ebony oil bottle with screw-top and key. A very attractive set with hardly any room for improvement.

    Condition: Excellent. The barrels retain 95% of a high polish finish with minor handling and spotting marks. The remaining metal surfaces have a toned coin appearance with some hints of case colors to hammers. The stocks are fine to excellent with no visible cracks, only a few handling marks and one [1-inch] scuff to one of the stocks near the triggerguard, the same stock has a minor chip near the butt. Case with age wear and stress cracks to lid from handling and age. Lining with minor scuffs, dents and wear. Minor loses to corners. Accessories in fine to excellent condition with handling wear. Metal parts retaining bright polish. Actions good. Bores good.
