    Serial no. 8570 [barrel, cylinder and butt], .45 caliber, 5-inch ribbed barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Nickel-plated finish. Right side of barrel marked: W.F. &CO.'S EX / SONORA. Smooth grip panels. Custom lanyard ring. US stamped on butt. Note: We have been informed that this Smith & Wesson's WF markings and association is probably incorrect and spurious.

    Condition: Very good and configured with contemporary stampings. Retaining approximately 50-60% of a thinning finish, with noticeable signs of flaking, handling wear and pitting. Dings, cracks and some edge loss to grips. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
