    Description

    Very Rare Boxed Sturm-Ruger Hawkeye Single Shot Target Pistol. Serial no. 447, .256 caliber, 8 1/2-inch barrel with target sights. Rear sight is correctly unmarked. Top of barrel is factory-tapped with screws and with S proof mark. Top of breech is flat and untouched. Steel ejector rod housing. Rectangular rotating breech block. Blued finish. Oiled walnut grips with black Ruger medallions. Contained in original red and black carton. End flap confirms configuration and is hand numbered in red to the gun. Included in the box is original manual, warranty card and plastic bag. Only about 3,000 of these pistols were ever manufactured, all in 1963. Sold together with four complete boxes of ammunition. Condition: Excellent to mint. Gun appears unfired. Tiny patches of light frosting on sides of hammer. Action crisp. Bright bore showing no wear. Box is excellent with only small muzzle mark on inside.
