    U.S. Colt Model 1860 Army Springfield Rework Percussion Revolver.
    Serial no. 89780, .44 caliber percussion, 8-inch round barrel with New York address. Brass blade front sight. Blued finish. Brass triggerguard marked: 89780/US. Matching numbers on frame, arbor and butt. Barrel is serial numbered: 125827 and has an inspector's D on the lug. Wedge marked: 3229. Cylinder showing: ?850. Front strap with inspector's W. Recoil shield with inspector's R. Breech marked with the numeral 2. Back of cylinder with inspector's B. Smooth, one-piece walnut grips.

    Condition: Good. Barrel and cylinder retaining approximately 10-20% blue in protected areas. The balance a thin mottled gray patina with patches of fine pitting on the right side at the breech. Only one safety pin mashed. Loading lever and frame with generous traces of case colors. Right side of frame and recoil shield with patches of moderate pitting. Backstrap showing moderate pitting. Bright bore with strong rifling showing very little wear. Grips very good with scattered dents. Scuffs to right panel at toe. Action good.
