    Description

    U.S. Colt Model 1851 Navy Percussion Revolver.
    Serial no. 61009 [barrel, frame, triggerguard, butt and cylinder], .36 caliber, 7 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked: ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY. Etched cylinder scene. Left side of frame marked: COLTS / PATENT / U.S. Smooth walnut grip panels. The butt is marked TMA on wood. Iron grip frame. Some inspector markings are missing, probably disappeared when restored.
    Manufactured in 1856.

    Condition: Fine as restored and touched up. Bluing and case colors have been touched up with over 85-90% currently present since restoration. Overall showing thinning to relief edges, handling wear and patches of pitting. Scuffs and dings present to wood. Small repair at toe. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
