Unmarked, Unidentified Dragoon Size .44 Caliber Revolver. A revolver with a barrel housing identical to the Colt Walker and an interesting subject for further research. Devoid of marks, engraving, numbers or proofs of any kind. .44 caliber. 9" round barrel (to cylinder). At the end of the frame below the cylinder is a step up to the back side of the frame. Round cylinder notches. Brass trigger guard and front grip strap the remainder iron. Trigger guard interesting in that it is fuller and more rounded than those of the period. Flip-up rear ladder sight and brass blade front sight. Wedge made from a Harker lock. Walnut grips, the right side apparently having a repair as evidenced by a small inset aluminum plate and small area of filler. Overall finish is brown and with a layer of surface rust. The trigger spring is broken, otherwise an interesting revolver, possibly the only one of its kind.

From the estate of Houston collector Brent Burg.
