    Smith & Wesson Model No. 1 Third Issue Revolver with Leather Holster. Serial no. 234801, .22 caliber, 3 3/16-inch ribbed barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Spur trigger. Top of barrel marked: SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. PAT. APR. 3.55 JULY 5.59 DEC. 16.60. Blued finish. Smooth walnut bird's head grips. Contained in leather holster with belt loop and numbered 204. Property from the Estate of John R. Eckel, Sr.

    Condition: Very good. Retaining traces of original finish, the balance a dark grey patina with scattered wear and pitting. Grips showing scuffs and dings. Action good. Discoloring and cracking present on leather.
