    Smith & Wesson First Model Schofield Revolver with US and Wells Fargo Markings. Serial no. 6375, .45 caliber, 5-inch fluted barrel, with replaced sight and the right side of lug marked: 6375/W.F. & Co. Ex. Muzzle not crowned. Nickel-plated finish. Butt marked: US. After market replacement walnut grips. Condition: Fair as configured. Retaining approximately 15-20% finish, the remainder with dark age patina and scattered pitting. Grips are crudely carved later replacements. Action good.
