    Scarce Wells-Fargo First Model Schofield Smith & Wesson Revolver. Serial no. 410, .45 Schofield caliber, 5-inch ribbed barrel with factory sight. Right side of barrel lug correctly stamped: W.F. & COS EX. Blued finish. Case-hardened hammer and triggerguard. Walnut grips. These unique revolvers were sold by Smith & Wesson to Schuyler, Hartley & Graham of New York, who in turn, sold them to Wells-Fargo & Co. Express [see Flayderman 5G-157]. Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 10-15% finish, mixed with grey-brown patina. Barrel shortened during period of use. Strong bluing in cylinder flutes. Grips showing heavy wear and marks. Ejector star does not function. Action good.
