    Scarce Bacon Navy Single Action Revolver.
    .38 rimfire caliber, 7 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with address reading: BACON MFG. CO. NORWICH. CONN. 6-shot cylinder. Blued finish. Hand engraved frame with spur trigger. Unique jointed hinged lever for cylinder removal. Smooth walnut grips. Only about 400 produced. See Flaydermann 8A-013. Manufactured early 1860s. Property from the Estate of John R. Eckel, Sr.

    Condition: Very good to fine. Retaining approximately 5-10% blue, the balance a thin, slightly mottled gray-brown patina. Cylinder does not rotate as hammer is being cocked. Grips are fine with light age wear and patina.
