    Description

    Scarce Allen & Wheelock Army Centerfire Percussion Revolver. Serial no. 82 [located on inside of loading lever and left side of gripstrap], .44 caliber, 7 1/2-inch part-round, part-octagonal barrel with dovetailed brass sight. Left side of octagonal portion of barrel with standard address. Blued finish. Cylinder with centrally located cylinder stops. Case-hardened centerfire hammer and loading lever. 6-shot cylinder. Varnished walnut grips, the inside of right grip stamped: 82. Approximately 250 of this model were manufactured [see Flayderman 5A-060]. Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 15-20% finish, mixed with grey-brown patina and scattered light surface spotting. Hammer with strong traces of case-hardening remaining. Loading lever with faded case-hardening. Grips excellent with a few minor marks. Mechanically sound.
