    Rare Near Mint First Model Open-Top Merwin & Hulbert Single Action Revolver. Serial no. 1660, .44 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with correct address. Nickel-plated finish. Open top. Scoop flute cylinder with twist and pull vacuum cartridge ejection system. Case-hardened hammer. Fire-blued trigger. Variegated orange and black factory hard rubber grips. Firearms by Art Phelps [this revolver is pictured in this volume]. Condition: Excellent to near mint. Retaining approximately 95-98% finish with minor wear on front of cylinder at two flutes. Minor wear and vibrant case-hardening on hammer. Tiny spot of wear on loading gate. Light wear to trigger. Very fine tracking line on cylinder. Grips are mint. Action tight and crisp.
