Rare Forehand & Wadsworth New Model Army Single Action Revolver. Serial no. 453, .44 Russian caliber, 6 1/2-inch barrel with integral standard sight and barrel address. Nickel-plated finish. Case-hardened hammer and trigger. Oil-finished walnut grips with German silver escutcheons. Made in the 1870s. Approximately 1000 manufactured. Condition: Fine to excellent. Retaining approximately 90-95% finish which has partially turned to a "milky" nickel and showing scattered surface spotting on barrel and lug [see online photos]. Grips excellent. Action crisp but cylinder appears not to lock on chamber when cocked, a minor adjustment needed. A fine example of this rare model [see Flayderman 8A-058].

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
