    London Marked with Ordnance Acceptance on Grips.

    Fine Colt Model 1851 London Navy Revolver.

    Serial no. 23159 [all matching including wedge 159], .36 caliber, 7 1/2-inch octagonal barrel marked ADDRESS COL. COLT LONDON. Great cylinder scene. British proof marks present on left side of barrel lug, shoulder of the cylinder and between each chamber. Wood grips with Ordnance acceptance on right side. This gun is pictured on Figure 60 of the book, British Military Weapons and Associated Edged Weapons by Robert Brooker and notes "GRIP: Ordnance acceptance with a crown over 2, Author's Collection [note: gun is listed as serial number 22159 due to error, the gun is 23159]. Contained in contemporary wooden display case with blue lining.
    Please note; According to Bob Jordan; "The '51 Navy is made with all Hartford parts and was exported to England or parts sent over there and assembled in England."

    Condition: Gun is overall fine for this model. Retains 30-40% bluing with also 30-40% thin case-hardening. Crisp markings overall. Grips are fine plus with most varnish present apart from scuffs and mars. Case good with handling and storage wear. Mechanically sound. Bore is good.
