    Engraved Mass Arms Co. Maynard Primed Belt Revolver.

    Serial no. 729 [base of barrel], .31 caliber, 4-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued finish. Scroll engraved frame and hammer. Primer door marked: MAYNARD'S PATENT / SEP. 22, 1845. Smooth walnut grip panels. Total quantity about 1000 according to Flayderman's Guide [7A-057].

    Condition: Good. Finish a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Barrel lock lever absent. Heavy dings and scuffs present to wood. Triggerguard possibly replaced. Action not working. Pitted bore.
