    Description

    Engraved Colt Single Action Army Revolver.
    Serial no. 243498, .45 caliber, 4 ½-inch round barrel with later Colt single line address on the right side of the barrel and "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY 45" on the right side of the barrel. Blued finish. Jeweled trigger. Fully engraved with raised foliate scroll against a stippled background with a gilded deer's head on the right side of the frame near the breech; a gilded ram's on the opposite side and gilded wolf's head on the back strap. Bone grips with gold heart inlayed over the grip screw on the right side and gold spade over the left grip screw. Later Colt medallion inset into left side of grip. Frame manufactured in 1903.
    Provenance: Roger and Linda Carpenter Collection.

    Condition: Excellent as refinished. Retaining approximately 98% blue. Replaced barrel. Hammer spring needs adjustment. Nice bore.
