    E. Whitney Dual Trigger Single Action Percussion Pistol.
    Serial no. 18, .31 caliber, 4-inch octagonal barrel marked: E. WHITNEY N. HAVEN CT. Etched cylinder. Brass frame marked: PATENT APPLIED FOR to right side. Two triggers. Smooth walnut grip panels. Only 650 manufactured from 1852-1854.

    Condition: Very good. Finish a bright grey patina with scattered wear and pitting. Front bead sight absent. Scuffs, dings and bruises to grips. Crack at corner of base of left grip panel and loss to right corner. Large scuff and some wood loss to top of right panel. Action needs adjustment.
