    Description

    D.W. Harris Engraved Single Action Army Revolver.
    Serial no. 144502, .38 W.C.F. caliber, 4 3/4-inch round barrel with two-line Hartford address and 38 W.C.F. on the left side of the barrel. Nickel finish. "Slim Jim" mother of pearl grips. Fully engraved with Harris' "Gambler Motif", featuring dice, playing cards and other gambling icons intermingled with foliate scroll and stippling. Signed by Harris on the lower grip strap. Manufactured in 1892. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from David Wade Harris.
    Provenance: Roger and Linda Carpenter Collection.

    Condition: Excellent as refinished at time of engraving. Crisp action. Grips with minor losses and chips. Bore a bit dark with scattered light pitting.
