    David F. Clark Inspected U.S. Cavalry Colt Single Action Army Revolver Serial no. 81986, [1986 on cylinder].45 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with single-line Hartford address. Donut ejector rod button. Barrel, frame and cylinder marked: D.F.C. Three-line patent date with U.S. on left side of frame. One-piece walnut grips. Manufactured in 1882. Condition: Very good. Metal a smooth brown-gray patina. Retaining traces of case-hardening. Minor salt and pepper. All screw heads crisp, excellent markings including inspector's markings on frame and barrel and cylinder. Grips excellent, retaining most of original varnish with some wear at bottom edge and a few scratches. Action tight and crisp, excellent bore. An attractive martially marked Colt.
