    Description

    Colt Single Action Army Revolver.
    Serial no. 111786 [frame, triggerguard, cylinder and butt], .45 caliber [marked on triggerbow], 7 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front blade sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued finish. Three-line, three date patent. D.F.C. inspector mark to barrel, frame and cylinder. Smooth walnut grip panels with oval bone inlay to each side. Manufactured in 1884.
    Provenance: National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Sold to benefit the Museum's collections and acquisitions.

    Condition: Fine. Retaining approximately 80-85% finish, with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Trivial scuffing to beginning of Colt address. Scuffs and dings present to grips. Action crisp. Strong bore.
