    Description

    Colt Single Action Army Revolver with Factory Letter. Serial no. 219623 [frame, triggerguard and butt], .41 caliber, 4 3/4-inch barrel with fixed front sight and two-line Hartford address. Blued finish. Two-line, three-date patent and Rampant Colt in broken circle marked on left side of frame. Checkered hard rubber grips. Sold along with factory letter that confirms present configuration with a ship date of December 18, 1901 to Simmons Hardware Company, St. Louis, Missouri. Pair of stag grips also included. Manufactured in 1901.
    Condition: Fair to good. Retaining traces of original finish in some protected areas, the balance a light and dark grey patina with scattered wear and light patches of pitting. Grips showing light scuffs and scratches, with some checkering worn smooth. Crisp action. Moderately pitted bore.
