Description

Colt Single Action Army Revolver in Period Flap Holster. Serial no. 13402, .45 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with italicized single-line Hartford address. Blued and case-hardened finish. Left side of frame marked: U.S. Inspector's initial A on barrel, cylinder and triggerguard. Varnished walnut grips. Contained in commercially made brown leather flap holster with reverse marked: 5/44/7 1/2. Old tag with string marked: PROPERTY CLERK'S VOUCHER and with reverse hand marked: COLT SINGLE ACTION/FRONTIER (sic) MODEL/# 13402.
Condition: Good to very good. Metal now mostly a smooth gray patina with traces of blue in protected areas. Scattered patches of fine pitting on ejector rod housing. Grip with hard wear. Bore very good showing even wear. Action good.
