    Colt Single Action Army Frontier Six-Shooter with Pearl Grips. Serial no. 138573, .44-40 caliber, 4 3/4-inch barrel with 2-line Hartford address and roll stamped COLT FRONTIER SIX-SHOOTER. Nickel-plated finish. 2-line, 3-date patent mark with circled Rampant Colt. Triggerbow marked .44. Nicely carved mother-of-peal grips with figure of eagle with faux ruby eye on right panel. Manufactured in 1891. From the estate of Houston collector Brent Burg. Condition: Very good as refinished. Retaining nearly all of an old re-nickel. Scattered fine pitting observed on cylinder and frame. Chips to each grip panel at back corners and upper right of right grip panel. Fit slightly proud at the butt. Action smooth and a bit loose. Very light trigger pull. Bore fair with moderate pitting.
