    Colt Root Model 1855 Sidehammer Single Action Revolver.

    Serial no. 11301 [barrel, cylinder and butt], .28 caliber, 3 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued finish. Etched cylinder scene. Case-hardened sidehammer and spur trigger. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1856.

    Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 40-50% of a thinning finish, the balance a bright grey patina with scattered areas of handling wear and patches of pitting. Dings and scuffs present to wood. Action functions. Moderately pitted bore. Property from the James R. Glascock Collection.
