    Description

    Colt Model 1860 Army Single Action Revolver.

    Serial no. 125116 [barrel, frame, triggerguard and butt] and 5116 [cylinder], .44 caliber, 8-inch barrel with fixed front sight. COLT'S / PATENT to left side of frame. Top of barrel marked: - ADDRESS COL. SAM COLT NEW YORK U.S. AMERICA-. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Checkered backstrap. Manufactured in 1863. According to consignor notes, the revolver was shipped to a government agency in 1863.

    Condition: Very good as cleaned. Finish primarily a bright grey patina with scattered areas of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Dings and scuffs present to wood. Action needs adjustment. Pitted bore.
