    Description

    Colt Frontier Six-Shooter Single Action Revolver. Serial no. 95779, .44-40 caliber, 4 3/4-inch barrel. Nickel-plated finish. Barrel with two-line Hartford address and roll-stamped COLT FRONTIER SIX-SHOOTER. Two-line, three-date patent on left side of frame and 44 CAL on trigger bow. All serial numbers match. Inspector's mark G observed on butt and triggerguard. Frame is marked ?FC . Barrel under cylinder pin marked 44. Checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colt in circle. Inside each grip panel hand marked with W. Manufactured 1883. Condition: Good to very good as possibly re-finished. Retaining approximately 60-70% of what appears to be an old re-nickel. The balance is a smooth gray patina. Scattered fine scratches throughout. Small patches of pitting on cylinder. Tool marks on barrel near the frame. Grips are good to very good with softening of the checkering and scattered handling wear. Bore is good with fine to moderate pitting. Action is crisp.
