    Colt Artillery Model Single Action Army Revolver Inspected by Cleveland with Factory Letter. Serial no. 34692[frame],88120[triggerguard], .45 caliber, 5 1/2-inch barrel with single-line Hartford address. Frame with inspector's initials J.T.C. Blued finish. Left side of frame with 3-line, 3-patent date mark and stamped: U.S. Walnut grips. Five notches in base of right grip panel. Sold together with Colt factory letter stating that serial no. 34692, barrel length not listed, finish blue, stocks not listed was delivered to U.S. Government Inspector at the Colt plant on January 31, 1877 in a shipment of 200. Condition: Good as configured. Metal surfaces now a smooth gray-brown patina with scattered nicks and patches of fine pitting. Some traces of blue mostly in protected areas of ejector rod housing. Cylinder does not lock up at full cock. Hammer a likely replacement. No visible serial number on butt. Grips: Fair to good with moderate age wear and soiling.
