    Cased Colt New House Second Model Spur Trigger Pocket Revolver. Serial no. 4445, .41 caliber, 2-inch barrel with two-line Hartford address, the left side with etched panel reading: COLT NEW .41. Nickel-plated finish. 5-shot cylinder. Knurled and blued ejector rod. Long cylinder flutes. Stop slots located in back of cylinder. Blued screws. Spur trigger. Left side of frame marked: 41 C. Varnished rosewood bird's head grips. Contained in a purple velvet-lined French style lining in an English style light mahogany casing, with cartridge storage panel for 7 cartridges [three present]. Triangular storage compartment with ivory knob. Vacant brass circular lid escutcheon and keyed front lock [key not present]. Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 80-85% finish with light flaking and wear to cylinder and circular side plate. Nickel has turned "milky" with age. Interior hand missing or broken, allowing cylinder to spin freely, whether cocked or not. Grips good, showing light wear and marks. Case very good to fine with light wear overall.
