    Description

    Austin T. Freeman Army Model Single Action Revolver.
    Serial no. 1063, .44 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Case-hardened hammer and trigger. Top of frame marked: FREEMAN'S PAT. DEC. 9, 1862 / HOARD'S ARMORY WATERTOWN, N.Y. Smooth walnut grip panels.
    Provenance: National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Sold to benefit the Museum's collections and acquisitions.

    Condition: Good. Finish primarily a bright grey patina, with noticeable signs of age, wear and surface rust. Minor scuffs and scratches to grips. Action good. Pitted bore.
