    Description

    U.S. Colt Model 1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol Manufactured 1918. Serial no. 428820, .45 ACP caliber, 5-inch barrel. Blued finish. Right side of slide with: MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY. Left side of frame marked: UNITED STATES PROPERTY. [eagle]/S12 acceptance stamp on frame above magazine release. Checkered walnut grips. Manufactured 1918.

    Condition: Good to very good. Retaining approximately 40-50% thinning blue finish, the balance a thin gray-brown patina. Frame showing signs of having been lightly cleaned. Scattered patches of fine pitting on barrel and front of slide. Grips are very good with light handling wear. Bore is very good with very light wear. Magazine is absent.
