Swedish Husqvarna Model 40 Civilian Series Semi-Automatic Pistol.

Serial no. D13258 [left side of frame], 9mm caliber, 4 3/4-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued finish. Left side of frame marked: HUSQVARNA VAPENFABRIKS A B. (crown) / HV proof mark to rear of frame. Checkered factory hard-rubber grip panels, with embossed (crown) / H logos. Lanyard ring.
The Husqvarna Model 40 became the primary service pistol for the Swedish Army, Navy, and Air Force during World War II and the post-war period. It was known for its durability in Sweden's cold, snowy winters.

Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 90-94% finish with some thinning to relief edges, handling wear and very fine spots of pitting. Action crisp. Bright bore. From the Collection of James Schubert.
