    German Mauser K Date Model P08 S-42 Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol. Serial no. 1647, 9mm, 4-inch barrel with dovetailed sight. Chamber marked: K. Toggle marked: S/42. Right side of slide marked with S and proofs. Straw colored take down lever, wide trigger and safety. Blued finish. Lanyard loop and shoulder stock lug. Aluminum base magazine with no number present. Checkered walnut grips. Condition: Fine. Retaining approximately 94-96% finish with wear to straw colored elements and relief edges. Grips with light wear and bruises. Action crisp. Bright bore. Note: The K was a secret wartime code used by the Mauser factory to conceal Germany's re-armament in the late 1930s. This example produced c1936.
