Description
German cyq Spreewerk P 38 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Associated Holster.Serial no. 2270c [barrel, slide and frame], 9mm caliber, 4 3/4-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued/machined finish. Left side of slide stamped "cyq". Various German [eagle] 88 proof marks present. Grooved hard rubber grip panels with lanyard ring compartment on the left side, the magazine is marked P 38 of left side. According to Spreewerk production charts, this gun was made in May of 1943. Gun is contained in associated military proofed P38 holster, marked and dated P38 / 1944 [bla] / [WaA159 under eagle] and includes an extra magazine marked jvo / WaA706. Records indicate that based on the markings, the holster was made in 1944 by E.G. Leuner GmbH, Bautzen.
Condition: Very good. Retains most of the machined finish with scattered wear and marks. Small patches of pitting present around edges and finish. Some scuffs and scratched to grips as expected, one small hole from what appears to have been a pin on right side. Action crisp. Bright bore. Holster and extra magazine very good with wear; some spots.
