Cased Shostle Engraved Colt Model MKIV/Series 80 Government Model Semi-Automatic Pistol with Folding Knife.Serial no. RC31125, .380 caliber, 3 3/8-inch barrel. Polished steel finish. Scroll-engraved slide and frame. Mother-of-pearl grips. Base of magazine marked: COLT/.380 AUTO. Left side of frame just above serial no. is marked: SHOSTLE. Contained in hardwood case with brass fittings. Velvet-lined. Sold together with engraved Colt folding knife.
Acclaimed American engraver Ben Shostle was the founder and former president of the Firearms Engravers Guild of America. Mr. Shostle died in Muncie, Indiana 2006.
Condition: Excellent as custom engraved. Only very minor handling wear observed. Bright bore. Knife excellent. Case fine with a few very light scratches to exterior. Key absent.
