DescriptionVery Fine M1849 Colt .31 Caliber Pocket Model, #189862. Most unusual example with the cylinder bearing the number 202747 in the panel but followed by the number of the rest of the gun, 189862, which also appears to be a period marking. Exceptionally sharp crisp gun retaining 80%+ of the original bright blue and case colors. Cylinder scene about perfect. Sharp crisp tight action. Excellent bore. Brass straps retain about 20% of the original silver. 6 shot, one line New York address, 4" barrel. Grips retain about 98% of the original varnish with just a few dents on the bottom of the right side, minor. All screws and nipples perfect. A very attractive and anomalous Colt pocket.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
