Unserialized, .70 caliber, 11-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Top of barrel dated 1818 and left side marked: Circled P / (eagle) / V proofs. Lock marked: (eagle) / US and SPRING / FIELD / 1818. Smooth hardwood stock with metal furniture. Note: Total made around 1000. Type 1, having the earlier 1807 style lock.
Condition. Very good. Overall showing normal age wear and fine patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs and dings to wood. Noticeable crack to each side of handle. Action good.
