    U.S. I.N. Johnson Model 1842 Single-Shot Percussion Pistol. .54 caliber, 8 1/2-inch round barrel with standard brass front sight. Marked at breech: U.S./W.N.[Walter North]/P. Upper tang marked: 1851. Finished in-the-white. Case-hardened hammer. Standard lock plate marked: US/I.N. Johnson and Middtn/Conn./1855. Varnished walnut stock with brass furniture. Swivel ramrod. Condition: Fine. Steel showing scattered light pitting and surface spotting. Wood excellent with light overall wear. Action excellent.
