Description

Pair of Liege Marked Percussion Double Barrel Pistols.

Serial no's 580 [each one marked under right barrel] also proofed [E / LG]. Boxlocks with nicely done scrollwork. Screw-off barrels of finely patterned twist steel with proofs. Figured ebony stocks with foliage elements. Percussion cap compartments on pommels. A refined and harmoniously matched pair of mid-19th century pistols, understated in design yet striking in their elegance.

Condition: Both guns in very good plus condition, with a bright patina overall, A nice frosted patina adorns the barrels. One of the grips with a few stress but stable splits running from the boxlock to wrist area. Actions extremely tight but sound. Bores ok, a bit dark.
