Lot of Two Late 18th Century Muzzle Loading Pistols.
    Comprising: 1) British Flintlock Pistol. Approximately .68 caliber, 8 1/2-inch round barrel with old Birmingham proofmarks and stamped with numeral 5. Crown-marked lock with brass rear lock plate. Fine hardwood stock with brass furniture and flared steel ram rod. 2) Engraved Conversion Trade Pistol. Approximately .70 caliber, 8 1/2-inch round barrel with engraved breech. Percussion lock a conversion from flint. Lock with fine floral engraving. Hardwood stock with steel furniture. Deep relief engraving to butt. Deep figural carving to wrist.

    Condition: 1) Good as configured. Hammer absent. Age wear and patina. Minor losses to wood. 2) Fair. Heavy age wear throughout. Fine to moderate pitting to steel. Lock plate loose and trigger guard loose. Surface rust present on trigger. Cracks to wood at wrist and below hammer.
