    Description

Late 18th Century British Sea Service Flintlock Pistol. 19 1/4" overall with .63 caliber 12" iron barrel with two proof marks at breech on left side. Incorporates iron belt hook over elongated brass side plate, brass trigger guard and butt cap. Walnut stock with single ramrod thimble and no lower entry pipe, as typical of these sea service weapons. Lock with reinforced cock, marked "Tower" in curved line at rear and "(crown) / GR" forward of the hammer. Ramrod likely a correct replacement, else excellent overall, just showing some honest wear/use. Very nice example of this basic British Sea Service pistol of the latter part of the 18th century.
