    Description

    Large, Late 18th Century Iron Mounted British Flintlock Holster Pistol. 17 1/2" overall, 12" octagonal, .66 caliber, iron barrel exhibiting two proof marks and "London". Iron washers under engraved lock screw heads, two iron barrel keys, iron ramrod thimbles and trigger guard. Lock with sliding safety, roller frizzen and reinforced pan, marked "Barnett". Walnut stock, with bag shaped checkered grip, exhibiting unengraved shield shaped wrist escutcheon, original wooden ramrod. Iron generally clean with just a few areas of very light salt and peppering. Stock exhibits honest use with some scattered dents and several minor hairlines, with no loss, and easily closed. An impressive 18th British flintlock holster pistol in very nice condition.
