DescriptionFrench Charleville Double Barrel Percussion Pistol.
Approximately .58 caliber, 6 1/2-inch round to octagonal barrels. Inlay barrels marked CANON / DAIRE A CHARLEVILLE / JORDS?. Top of barrels also with Panoply of Arms and sunburst inlays. Percussion hammers with unmarked lockplates. Walnut stock with iron furniture. Light floral work and German silver design thumb rest also adorns the stock. Ramrod present.
Condition: Good to very good for its age. Faint traces of blue on barrel with mostly a brown patina and pitting overall. Inlay work with flaws and losses. Left hammer appears to be a replacement. Wood with fine scratches, dings and mars. One repair under left hammer is loose. Screws marred. Actions good. Bore dark with pitting, but clear.
