    Flintlock Pistol Made for the Middle Eastern Trade.

    Approximately 68-caliber, 12-inch octagonal to round barrel with barrel band decoration and more extensive work near muzzle. Scroll and floral engraving to top of barrel. Partial brass/cast stocked with embellished motifs, some scroll and punch work with accents to buttstock area, including decorative wire inlay. Lockplate with detailed scrollwork engraving originally from European flintlock. Decorative cleaning rod not present. Overall length: 19 1/2-inches.
    Note: These types of pistols [or pattern] are similar to those used for the Trade, possibly Balkans or Greek. Many European features present to this pistol.

    Condition: Very good for its configuration and elements. Barrel lightly cleaned, showing a grey patina. Overall age and wear with scattered marks and minor losses to casting. Moderate tarnish to protected areas. Some cleaning to stock to bring out features. Marred screws. Period repair to wood near sideplate. Action good. Bore dark, as expected.
