    Exceptional Quality and Scarce Form C. 1800 Center Hammer British Flintlock Pistol. 12" overall, with brass frame, 6 1/4" round brass cannon barrel that flares dramatically at the muzzle, with the mouth of the bore measuring .88 caliber. Spring loaded snap bayonet affixed to the bottom of the muzzle and released by sliding the iron trigger guard backwards. Reinforced cock with sliding safety, ramrod with long brass front cap. The left side of the frame is marked "I & W. Richards" within an oval surrounded by an engraved arms panoply, right side with "London" within a similar arms panoply. Silver butt cap with two deeply struck touch marks near tail, unengraved silver wrist escutcheon. Fine quality walnut stock, excellent. Gun in very fine condition just showing slight wear overall. The ramrod thimble has been reattached, and their is a hairline crack at the wrist with no loss, easily repaired. A most impressive and unusual British flintlock pistol.
